Walk in the local National Park, Marsden Estate or Saddleworth Moor, and for the more adventurous groups we can arrange for personally-guided walks during your stay.

With many miles of paths, tracks, towpaths and country lanes waiting to be walked, you can be sure that there’s sufficient choice to satisfy even the most hardened enthusiast. Whether you prefer a short, easy stroll or a lengthy trek across the moors, you’ll certainly enjoy a walk in Kirklees’ countryside.

Just pull on your boots and explore. Follow paths over the hills or through the valleys; chance upon places of historical interest; and soak up far reaching views en-route. Way-marked trails can guide you through some of the area’s highlights or offer a long distance challenge. Follow a trail, a guidebook, or plan your own route: the choice is up to you.
