The Shooting Ground was established in 1957 and has always been owned and run by the Hinchliffe family. We are a small family business where you will be given a warm welcome.

John Hinchliffe has shot with the England Skeet Team and has been a runner-up in the British and English Open Skeet Championships on numerous occasions.

The Shooting Ground is situated high on the Pennines above Holmfirth, in the heart of the lovely countryside that abounds in 'Summer Wine' Country.

Tuition is available by appointment on Thursdays, Fridays & Saturdays, (Saturday being the busiest day). The first lesson is at 10.00am and the last lesson approximately 2.30pm. You will be under the watchful eye of John Hinchliffe who is experienced in teaching complete beginners or the more experienced shooter. Lessons are on a one-to-one basis with the instructor, but arrangements can be made for small groups, (families or friends.)

Price: £30.00 for 50 shots including cartridges and use of the gun. (A lesson takes approximately 1 hour, and consists of 50 shots.)
